Knights Road Connection

We’re working with the local community, to trial temporary changes along Knights Road. We want to make the journey between Waterloo Station and the Lower Hutt CBD safer and more people-friendly regardless of your choice of transport. We what to hear your feedback.

Jackson Street

Together with residents, businesses and visitors to Petone we’re exploring how to further support Jackson Street as an appealing destination. We’re looking at creating public spaces that people enjoy spending time in whether for shopping, dining or getting around.

Play Streets

Play Streets are short, resident-led road closures that let neighbours play safely and freely outside their own front door. Play Streets is part of an international movement to make play easier and closer to home.

New trial layout for Knights Road Launched

Creating safer and more enjoyable journeys along Knights Road for all modes of transport is the goal of a five week trial of a new road layout.

The temporary layout for the first section of Knights Road has been decided based on community insight and feedback.
